Scotch College Boat Club

Scotch College first competed in competitive rowing in 1868 and has subsequently developed a comprehensive rowing program.  More information on the history of Scotch rowing is available on the History page.

The aim of the Scotch College rowing program is to provide and enjoyable, quality, team-oreiented program.  Students and coaces interact to assist boys' physical and emotional devemopment. 

Scotch College presents crews at APS and Rowing Victoria Regattas.

Rowing at Scotch is a team sport requiring training and development of rowing technique.  Stength and fitness need to be well delveoped to deliver the best on water performance.

The Scotch College Boat Club fleet is oriented to training and competiion in VIII's , quad sculls and fours.  Single sculls are used extensively for training and introducing sturdents to rowing.

Boys are able to commence rowing from Term 4 in year 7 or as a Coxswain commencing in Term 4 of Year 6.
